Growing in listening

Start to Listen aims to provide inspiration to actively pay attention to the skill of listening on a daily basis. The website offers a sampling of audio clips and accompanying listening questions.

Start to Listen consists of 3 levels lasting 3 weeks each, with teachers listening to a different excerpt (sound art, new and experimental music and field recording) each day with their pupils.

The listening questions encourage different forms of reflection and stimulate the children to explore their own and others' listening attitudes.
